What Data We Collect

• Account information — parent name and email address when you register an account
• Child profile data — first name or nickname, age, avatar emoji and a hashed 4-digit PIN; children never provide an email address
• Family activity data — chores, approvals, pocket money balances, fines, savings goals, giving pot allocations and simulated vault allocations
• Photo proofs — images your child chooses to submit as chore proof, stored privately and visible only to your household
• Payment information — billing details for paid subscriptions, processed securely by our payment provider; we do not store full card details
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited and time spent on the platform, collected automatically
• Communication records — records of correspondence between you and Kidonomy support

How We Use Your Data

• To create and manage your family account and provide the Service to you
• To run chores, approvals, pocket money caps, fines and the simulated overflow vault
• To process payments for paid subscriptions
• To respond to your support enquiries
• To comply with legal and regulatory obligations applicable to us in Cyprus and the EU
• To improve the Service and user experience based on usage data
• To contact you with relevant updates about the Service where you have given consent

Children's Data

Child profiles are created and controlled by a parent or legal guardian, who acts as the account holder. We collect the minimum needed to run the household features and never use children's data for advertising or profiling. A parent can edit or delete any child profile at any time from the dashboard.

Legal Basis for Processing

• Contract performance — processing necessary to provide the Service you have signed up for
• Legitimate interests — to operate, maintain and improve the Service, and to respond to enquiries
• Legal obligation — where we are required to process data to comply with Cyprus or EU law
• Consent — where you have explicitly agreed to receive marketing communications or optional features

Data Retention

• Account, child profile and family activity data is retained for the duration of your account and for up to 2 years after account deletion
• Financial records relating to paid subscriptions are retained for 7 years in accordance with Cyprus accounting and legal requirements
• Support correspondence is retained for up to 2 years

You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting help@kidonomy.app.

Sharing Your Data

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share your data with:

• Hosting and infrastructure providers — cloud services used to operate Kidonomy.app, acting as data processors under data processing agreements
• Payment processors — to handle subscription payments securely
• Notification delivery services — such as email delivery providers, solely to deliver messages you have requested
• Analytics providers — for anonymous usage analytics to help us improve the Service (see Cookie Policy below)
• Legal or regulatory authorities — where required by applicable law
